Production Technology Internship

Energetic Optimization of a Batch Process - 6 months

In this 6-months traineeship position you will be part of the Production Technology Group inside the Process Technology & Analytics Department. The main goal of this group is to develop, support and optimize chemical processes for new and existing active ingredient manufacturing facilities in Monthey.

Your Accountabilities
  • Join the Production Technology team and collaborate with different technical experts and production teams
  • Take part in a development project and provide technical support
  • Perform sizing calculations for new equipment or for the optimization of existing assets
  • Assist in following production processes and troubleshooting activities
  • Contribute to process risk analysis and assess process safety parameters
  • Evaluate the environmental impact of processes
Qualifications

What are we looking for:
  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or closely related discipline
  • First experience in Chemical Engineering is a plus
  • Technical and theoretical background in main chemical process unit operations such as distillation, crystallization, filtration…
  • Ideally, good Knowledge in heat and mass balances, flowsheet reading, and pinch analysis
  • Team-player with excellent communication skills and the capacity to work independently when a situation demands it in a multidisciplinary team within an international business
  • Fluent in French, English and other languages are a plus
  • Marked interest for process development and manufacturing
