As a Linux System Engineer, you will have responsibility for operational duties, as well as work on customer projects. Your duties will include:
- Work independently or with teammates on interesting projects to support clients in resolving a wide variety of challenges around their Linux infrastructure
- Configure, deploy and maintain Linux servers and services across various virtual environments
- Day-to-day maintenance and support of systems for our SLA clients
- Implement industry-standard security practices
- Organise your work using version control systems like Git
- Ensure operational readiness through the means of standardisation and documentation
- Learn about Open Source technologies and become one of our internal subject matter experts for one or several technologies
Must Have
- A passion for Open Source technologies and automation
- Proven experience as system engineer in a Linux-centric environment
- Experience with automation tools such as Ansible or SaltStack
- Pleasure in learning and applying new technologies
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within the team
- English knowledge of at least B1 Level
- Experience with Red Hat and/or SUSE products
- Experience in one or several of the following topics: MariaDB, LDAP, OpenID Connect, PostgreSQL, KVM Virtualization, OpenSearch, Bash, Python, NFS, Terraform, Docker
- German knowledge
