Tasks

As a Linux System Engineer, you will have responsibility for operational duties, as well as work on customer projects. Your duties will include:
  • Work independently or with teammates on interesting projects to support clients in resolving a wide variety of challenges around their Linux infrastructure
  • Configure, deploy and maintain Linux servers and services across various virtual environments
  • Day-to-day maintenance and support of systems for our SLA clients
  • Implement industry-standard security practices
  • Organise your work using version control systems like Git
  • Ensure operational readiness through the means of standardisation and documentation
  • Learn about Open Source technologies and become one of our internal subject matter experts for one or several technologies
Requirements

Must Have
  • A passion for Open Source technologies and automation
  • Proven experience as system engineer in a Linux-centric environment
  • Experience with automation tools such as Ansible or SaltStack
  • Pleasure in learning and applying new technologies
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within the team
  • English knowledge of at least B1 Level
Good to Have
  • Experience with Red Hat and/or SUSE products
  • Experience in one or several of the following topics: MariaDB, LDAP, OpenID Connect, PostgreSQL, KVM Virtualization, OpenSearch, Bash, Python, NFS, Terraform, Docker
  • German knowledge
