With your passion for new technologies, we are further developing Swisscom’s firewall and security platform and thus ensuring positive customer experiences.

  • Planning, operation and further development of the firewall and security network platform
  • Engineering and support for the integration of new security technologies
  • Introduction and support of automation cases

Team We are a team of nine people, embedded in an agile organisation. We operate and develop the firewall and security platforms for Swisscom’s data centres.

The project / The projects / The theme / The themes As a Network Security Engineer, you do your best every day so that Swisscom can continue to operate secure network platforms for its customers now and in the future. You help to transform our hybrid infrastructure. Your ambition and your coordinated way of working contribute to the timely completion of high-quality solutions in the Swisscom environment.

Your profile

  • IT degree (Uni/ETH/UAS)
  • In-depth specialist and practical knowledge of network security
  • Several years of experience with firewalls (preferably with Forcepoint and Fortinet)
  • Experienced in automation (e.g. via Rest API) and scripting (Python, Bash)
  • In-depth knowledge of network technology (TCP/IP, dynamic routing – preferably BGP)
  • Analytical thinking
  • Ready to perform regular on-call service
  • Business fluent in German and good English
  • Independent and team-oriented approach to work
  • Ability to keep calm and self-organise
