Deine Herausforderung
  • Provision of the appropriate architectural technical evaluation of each site, including detailed measured survey information.
  • Input into the general arrangement, gym equipment layout, and internal elevations (’the design intent’) through highlighting any potential considerations (e.g. floor to ceiling height constraints, co-ordination conflicts etc).
  • Acquisition of all necessary permits, warrants and permissions through working closely with the wider Development team, the Acquisitions team, landlords and local authorities (leveraging good experience of working with various Cantons).
  • Ensure all technical, regulatory and risk mitigations are included in the architectural layout and technical drawings, including:
  • Fire regulations and occupancy requirements
  • Structural loading
  • Acoustics
  • Local building regulations
  • Planning and permits
  • Specialist M&E solutions such as smoke extract systems
  • Provide all elements of the architectural process in line with critical milestones to support delivery of the property pipeline, and all major design phases pass the necessary approval stages.
  • Ensure each gym project considers design-related risks and these are mitigated or minimized wherever possible.
  • Through on-site assessments, ensure compliance of each gym development project in line with the approved architectural design.
  • Provide local market input into the continuous improvement of format requirements and standards.
  • Providing recognition, support, and encouragement to your peers to ensure all team objectives are met.
  • Ensuring personal development plans are in place.
  • Positively representing the Development function internally and being an ambassador for PureGym externally.
  • Being recognized as someone who makes a significant contribution across the Development function.

Dein Profil
  • Qualified Architect with industry recognised certification and credentials.
  • Educated to degree level and can demonstrate a track record of continual professional and personal development.
  • Experience of large-scale leisure, retail, hospitality, or rapidly growing organizations, delivering multiple projects at the same time, with in-depth onsite experience.
  • Is fluent either German or French, and in English.
  • Needs to have a technical understand of construction methodologies.
  • Must have experience of auto-CAD with Revit being desirable.
  • Has experience of building relationships and performance managing 3rd party contractors and advisers to deliver required results.
  • A highly capable operator who can successfully resolve difficult situations and make critical decisions under pressure.
  • Proactive, accountable, hands on, adaptable and able to react quickly to a fast moving, ever-changing environment.
  • An excellent communicator, with the ability to simply convey complex messages and influence at a senior level.
  • Commercially astute, able to evaluate investment decisions considering member brand expectations balanced with the required levels of return.
  • Member focused, always striving to improve the experience for all members through own area or working across the business.
  • Process orientated, with the ability to identify and remove waste through applying lean thinking.
  • Able to work cross-functionally, to bring together all parts of the business to deliver the right outcome for members and PureGym.
  • Can positively represent PureGym and the Development function when interacting with external peer groups and other stakeholders.
  • Ideally has a passion for, or an interest in, fitness and leisure.
  • Able to regularly travel within Switzerland.
