Project Engineer High Power Rectifiers 80-100%

As Project Engineer you will be part of an international project & commissioning team providing control systems for high power rectifiers to our clients in the Aluminium, Arc Furnace and Chemical industry. Reporting to the Engineering Manager HPR Control Engineering, you will ensure successful delivery of multiple projects on time, within budget, and in line with specifications and with quality and safety guidelines. Your responsibilities

  • Engineering of system concepts, electrical schematics, customer specific software (PLC) and testing for tailored maid customer systems used in industrial applications
  • Responsible for technical and commercial aspects of the entire rectifier system including detailed engineering
  • Comply with quality standards and regulations
  • Contributing to development projects for new products
  • Worldwide commissioning, troubleshooting and maintenance of High Power Rectifiers in a range up to 100 kA/2000 V per system
  • Verify technical solutions and address issues in close collaboration with customers and suppliers
  • Conducting costumer trainings
  • 70-80% in-house project engineering in Baden-Dättwil, approx. 20-30% international travel

Your background

  • Sound knowledge of engineering techniques, processes and tools, including E-CAD and PLC programming
  • High affinity with IT (HW, SW and protocols)
  • A strong focus on safe work practices and dedication to following workplace safety guidelines as well as customer oriented thinking
  • A high level of self-motivation, curiosity and a desire to learn about new technologies
  • A collaborative approach to working, demonstrating strong communication and analytical skills
  • An academic degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Committed to worldwide travel (up to 30%)
  • Fluency in English, German (min. B2/C1 level), any additional language is an advantage
