In this role you will drive the implementation of digital initiatives and serve as a cross-functional change agent across the organization and contribute and implement digital strategy by working with cross-functional team members. We count on you to act as a SME when it comes to use digital technology and practices to foster a digital mindset from top down with a focus on cloud platforms, mobile apps, integration with healthcare enterprises, data analytics and connectivity technologies. You will ensure collaboration, knowledge sharing, and digital best practices within the R&D department as well as across business units.

Your Responsibilities

• Own and manage appointed digital innovation projects , including management of the implementation of backend and frontend development roadmaps
• Roadmap and pump integration planning in close collaboration with Medela project manager / pump project teams
• Management of offshore teams in India and China (collaboration with local project lead)
• Sprint planning, backlog grooming, monitoring of status against milestones and review of the results
• Manage release planning, traceability, defect tracking, etc. align with business functions at Medela HQ and Americas (Collaboration tool: Azure DevOps)
• First contact for technical support (connectivity, integration with backend APIs, integration with 3rd party components, …)
• Support technical documentation stream (prepare for FDA submission).
• Have deep understanding of customer journeys and associated needs, problems, and challenges to build innovative products spanning all touchpoints along the journeys
• Co-develop the digital roadmap in close collaboration with all business partners
• Ensure that all new digital initiatives are fully integrated into the overall strategy including resource allocation and execution
• Bridge gap between business and technology, build trust with key stakeholders to align multiple teams and deliver on strategic initiatives
• Contribute to innovation and process excellence by always having the internal or external customer in mind and understanding the industry – environment and challenges
• Ensure the project progress as per plan: milestones, overall timeline, budget and cost
• Organization of project and review meetings on a regular basis and reporting to the corresponding decision-making body
  

Your Qualifications

• Master’s degree in computer science, engineering or related field
• Further education in project management or business administration desirable
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role
• Proven track record in ownership and development of digital products such as cloud platforms, mobile apps, IoT solutions, and data-driven solutions
• Good understanding of clinical requirements SW as medical devices and FDA approval
• Knowledge of test-driven SW development and Scrum/Agile methodologies
• Fluency in English is required, German is a plus
• Able to travel up to 10% of the time, including occasional international travel as required to meet
• Strategic mindset with an eye for detail, paired with a hands-on mentality
