In this position, you will significantly contribute to the factory development of our sites in Switzerland and China to further improve and maintain our competitiveness.

Reporting to the Head of Investments and Operational Excellence, you will take the lead in challenging improvement activities related to factory optimization in the area of automatization, digitalization, and operational excellence.

With your open-minded spirit, your excellent project management skills, your ability to lead cross-functional project teams as well as your technical know-how, you will have a large and visible impact on our priorities safety, quality, OTD, and costs. You will be part of the business unit Supply ＆ Value Chain Excellence.

Your responsibilities

  • Optimization of our factories in the area of automatization, digitalization, and operational excellence across our entire value chain (logistics, production, and assembly) to improve safety, quality, OTD, and costs.
  • Leading cross-functional project teams along all project phases (initialization, analysis, concept development, project implementation until handover to line organization).
  • Setting up a high-performing team incl. project organization, defining and planning work packages, and leading the project according to our project governance.
  • Developing an in-depth understanding of our production processes, to find innovative solutions to complex questions.
  • Technology scouting and potential assessment for our factories. Showing initiative to start further improvement projects.
  • Establishing partnerships with externals such as suppliers and universities.
  • Working and networking with colleagues, disseminating best practices, and continuous improvement of our project management skills and methods.
  • Maintaining and enhancing internal customer satisfaction by offering dialogue and excellent service at all times.

Your background

  • Degree in a relevant engineering discipline (mechanical, electronic/automation, production, etc.) or corresponding job experience.
  • Interest in the resolution of technical problems and interdisciplinary teamwork.
  • Strong interest in automatization, digitalization, and operational excellence in the field of production optimization and a strong understanding of the lean philosophy.
  • Willingness to work in a challenging and demanding environment.
  • Excellent and proven project management skills (3-5 years) to lead complex investment projects of 2- 10 Mio. CHF.
  • Financial acumen to analyze financial data and create business cases for our investment projects.
  • Outstanding analytical and conceptual skills.
  • Enthusiastic team player with good communication and collaboration skills.
  • Solution-oriented, autonomous, and proactive working style. A high level of self-motivation, curiosity, and desire to learn.
  • Fluency in English is required, German is an asset.
