We are looking for a Senior Project Manager in Visp, Switzerland. As an active contributor to the SPS Integrated Operations and site leadership team you lead the Arxada carve-out from Lonza at its core site in Visp and drive towards “Day 2” business continuity. You complement the team to run this critical and time-limited workstream regarding the separation in all details for the next approximately 1.5 years through a period of high transformation. The Project Leader Visp reports directly to the Head of Integrated Operations.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead the Arxada carve-out from Lonza at its core site in Visp and drive towards “Day 2” business continuity
  • Accountable to identify all key sub-workstreams (shared services agreements, technical services agreements, physical infrastructure, stand alone processes and adaptions)
  • Create sub-teams with clear mandates
  • Derive roadmap, milestones and project plan
  • Manage priorities and escalations. Prioritize multiple demands and leads defined work to successful conclusion on time
  • Develops budgets and resource plans
  • Handling of complex processes, not daunted by managing IT/OT interfaces
  • Manage the project execution
  • Accountable for the carve-out budget in alignment with transformation team
  • Interface with relevant Lonza and services providers counterparts
  • Act as a key interface and communication hub for all separation workstreams
  • Be an active contributor to the SPS Integrated Operations and site leadership team

Key requirements:

  • Bachelor or Master degree in a scientific/ technical discipline
  • Significant knowledge of the chemical industry or similar industries
  • Substantial experience in manufacturing
  • Experience in a consulting firm driving tangible change management projects in complex settings with a proven track-record (performance and impact) or project management experience in similar roles in relevant industrial companies
  • Understanding of complex processes and deep knowledge of global management system approaches and structures
  • Strong strategic thinker and able to understand impact of changes cross functional
  • Proactively seeks to understand internal stakeholder needs, open and transparent communicator
  • Uses systematic approaches to ensure customer key metrics are tracked and analyzed for continuous improvement
  • Creates a positive work environment for the team and demonstrates high integrity
  • Appreciation of the industry or understanding of carve-out situations a plus
  • Proficiency in German (written and spoken) is a must as well as very good communication skills in English
