The World Economic Forum Centre for the Fourth Industrial Revolution Network (C4IR) is looking for a Project Specialist for the Global AI Action Alliance. The Specialist will join a high-profile team of experts working to shape the trajectory of emerging technologies, maximizing their benefit to society while reducing potential risks.

The Project Specialistwill partner with the Forum’s Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning team to support operationalization and management of The Global AI Action Alliance.Global AI Action Alliance is a global community and action accelerator that brings the world’s foremost AI developers and users together to:

• Accelerate the adoption of trusted, transparent and inclusive AI globally and across sectors

• Create a feedback loop of real-time learning and scaling across key sectors and challenge areas

• Catalyse and incubate new partnerships and initiatives to address urgent gaps and needs

The alliance builds on the Forum’s global multistakeholder community of leading businesses, governments and civil society organizations engaging actively with AI, and over three years of successful efforts to create interoperable governance protocols for the development and use of AI technologies. The alliance collaborates closely with the Forum’s Industry Action Groups and its Data for Common Purpose Initiative (DCPI) to ensure that AI governance reflects best practices in data governance and is interoperable globally and across industry sectors.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Exercise discretion and independent judgment to create and maintain project plans and timelines that support the Alliance, and determine tasks, timelines, and milestones to meet team objectives.

• Drive effective project coordination, through a highly collaborative approach and effective project and process management, communication, and reporting

• Ensure the seamless integration of representatives from partner companies, governments, civil society, academia and other stakeholders into the Forum’s digital tools (including Salesforce and Toplink) for the Global AI Alliance and associated projects.

• Manage operations for partnerships including existing partners and potential partners.

• Coordinate logistics and operations for Alliance workshops and webinars, including managing invitations and securing approvals from relevant relationship managers across the organization.

• Coordinate logistics and operations for Alliance sessions at Forum events.

• Support the onboarding of new members of the Alliance and their ongoing engagement.

• Manage the process of submitting publications through the Forum’s editing and layout process for the Alliance’s reports, white papers, project documentation and other materials.

• Provide administrative support for the Alliance’s Lead, including scheduling, project management, and management of external partnerships and internal procedures.

• Other responsibilities as team needed and/or as priorities shift or new needs arise.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Master’s degree in relevant domain with 2-4 years relevant professional experience.

• Self-starting, customer-driven team player with strong organization and time-management skills.

• Excellent communication skills and English fluency, both spoken and verbal; fluency in another language is a plus.

• Strong grasp of Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word); experience with Salesforce would be a big advantage.

• Ability to simultaneously manage multiple complex projects in a highly collaborative environment and thrive in situations of high ambiguity.

• Some knowledge of and demonstrated interest in AI and technology policy
