Purpose of the Role:

The implementation of JTI’s Global Business Services is a major corporate transformation and change initiative, that includes consolidating, standardizing and transforming all business enabling functions under one organizational umbrella. The change will be profound for both the business as well as individuals; it will impact the work, spans of control, changes in processes, service levels, and the underlying enabling technology.
The GBS Change Management & Engagement Lead (CME) leads a team of 2 Change Mgmt. Managers which provide change management support to the entire GBS organization (i.e. GBS Leadership, GMs, Service Delivery functions, P&C) and GBS’s customers. The primary job role is to design, develop, implement and manage complex change deliverables to ease the GBS organization as well as GBS customers (market, factories, corp. functions) through various changes, including organizational, process, technical, and cultural related to GBS initiatives and others. The incumbent will be responsible to establish a single view of change across GBS to coordinate efforts and develop a comprehensive change mgmt. roadmap; to lead development and continuous enhancement to change methodologies, tools, and other collateral. The incumbent will also partner with senior business/workstream leaders inside and outside of GBS in the transformation and adoption of the change roadmap as well as supporting the GBS Business Engagement & Finance Lead in driving and delivering the business engagement agenda.

Scope of services includes:
1. GBS CME Strategy development - in alignment with key stakeholders (e.g. Functional Champions, GBS Leadership)
2. Provide CME support to all GBS transitions & process transformation initiatives across all processes and activities
3. Develop and support engagement initiatives, for GBS employees and customers
4. Provide advice and support GBS P&C in driving change management initiatives

Main Responsibilties:

  • GBS CME Strategy: Set and communicate the delivery of agreed CME plan across GBS and to GBS customers. Develop an integrated strategy for CME, in close collaboration with the Functional Champions, Corp Comms, IT, Markets & GBS Leadership, to implement delivery excellence initiatives. Create in collaboration with Corp Communications a customized GBS communication strategy and plan to ensure all GBS employees are aware of future change initiatives. Educate executives, leaders and employees of various levels about change management.
  • GBS CME Support: Manage to provide high-impact change mgmt. support to all GBS transitions, process transformation initiatives and technology integrations/implementations across all processes and activities done by all countries and functions within current and future GBS scope. Own the change mgmt. methodology and documentation. Work closely with all workstreams (e.g. DEX team) to define and measure the employees experience using surveys, listening tools, etc. Design, recommend, and execute interventions to continuously improve employees experience and value proposition.
  • GBS Customer Engagement initiatives: Develop & democratize the playbook for stakeholder management. Provide change mgmt. support for various GBS-customer intiaitives (e.g; quarterly broadcasts, etc). Support GBS Business Engagement & Finance lead and business engagement team in building and executing high-impact customer engagement programs, communication strategies.
  • GBS P&C Support: Support GBS P&C Lead with change management support across various initaitives like global GBS employee events, townhalls,etc. In close collaboration with GBS P&C Lead, ensure that required culture (oneGBS culture) and values are translated to leadership behavior.
  • Budget: Manage assigned budget. Plan and submit budget numbers for ASP and LE in the required timeframes.
  • People management: Establish the CME team and define the team’s agenda including creating individual development plans, providing cross functional development & learning opportunities and succession planning

Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in related field required, graduate degree preferred
  • At least 10 years’ exposure to the demands and deliverables of Change management within a GBS/Shared Services environment
  • Experience leading Corporate, Global Strategy for change mgmt./communications-driven initiatives designed to influence and impact Change. Including but not limited to: stakeholder management, customer experience/awareness, behavior change, readiness and adoption
  • Track record successfully managing in a decentralized operating model
  • Expertise in standard change management methodologies
  • Outstanding proficiency in English (written & spoken)
  • Demonstrated ability to influence others, at multiple levels of the organization, from entry-level evmployee to executives
  • Ability to create a vision and framework for sustainable organizational change driven by a major transformation
  • Ability to develop and sustain strong relationships across the organizations
  • Proven presentation and facilitation skills, including high profile, executive communications. Ability to stitch the narrative and story of change impact into broader communications
  • Ability to work at both strategic and tactical levels
  • Fluent in the application of change tools
  • Acute business acumen and understanding of organizational issues and challenges
