Job Title: Data Modelling Associate - Data Strategy & Governance

Job Overview

Working as part of the Data Strategy & Governance department, you will support a range of services across key areas, intended to deliver data driven insight to enable delivery of local and global Labcorp Drug Development Strategy & Operational Performance across Business Units and at the Enterprise level and support oversight and execution of Business Critical Operational Performance, including but not limited to measuring Return on Investment, developing dashboards containing critical Business Key Performance Indicators which can support key strategic decisions.

Routinely manage multifaceted, global data / information sets linked to identified Operational Processes and translate this into actionable insight for Senior Leaders and other stakeholders; confidently using appropriate systems, software and tools in order to ensure successful completion of all required tasks in support of the team and wider business, including support & oversight of identified Business Critical Operational processes to enhance Business Analytic Capabilities.
  • Responsible for leading the strategic design and maintenance of Business Intelligence applications.
  • Responsible for the design, development, implementation, management and support of mission critical enterprise Business Intelligence solutions to meet identified business needs.
  • Actively participate in the collation of information provided from metrics to guide strategies for improving local and global/ Labcorp Drug Development Business Units and Enterprise performance.
  • Assist in the design, management, governance and implementation of Metrics and dashboards to monitor Value based Key Performance Indicators and individual performance to productivity goals for local and global department / Business Unit.
  • Create data visualizations using enterprise tools such as Excel, Spotfire, Tableau, and PowerBI with appropriate data governance.
  • Analyze and understand business needs to define and recommend solutions that deliver value to stakeholders.
  • Use analytical skills to monitor plan key performance indicators and provide actionable data for plan business strategies.
  • Ensure the solution is delivered within the required time frame and that it meets with the business requirements.
  • Participate to the Data Strategy & Governance program on data elements, processes and solutions to ensure outcomes consistency and data accuracy.
  • Handle routine tasks needed in the different solutions developed and maintained by Data Strategy & Governance.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
Education/Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Computer Science or Data Analytics (or equivalent) or 3-5 years of equivalent Covance experience
Experience
  • 4-5 years of relevant experience in the job discipline (analytics and data mining).
  • Advanced level computer skills; Usage and experience in programming logic and database structures an asset.
  • Proven ability to write and execute moderate to complex SQL queries.
  • Conversant with databases and database terminology.
  • Negotiation skills to facilitate, guide, influence and produce a unified approach within a cross-functional environment.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong planning, organizational, and problem solving skills.
  • Demonstrated a high degree of initiative and ability to work collaboratively.
  • Accomplishments that reflect teamwork, integrity and accountability. Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced environment and deliver quality results in a growing organization.
