to complete its team of highly skilled IC design engineers. The group is active in ultra-low power ICs for short-distance wireless communication, next generation UWB Impulse Radio and mmWave radar solutions for ranging and localization applications.

Your mission

You will work on high-performance developments for industrial customers as well as on longer-term applied Swiss and European research projects, in accordance with CSEM mission to bridge the gap between universities and industry.

Your Responsibilities
  • Participate to the specification, design, verification, and validation in the lab of state-of-the-art digital baseband circuits implemented on ASICs and FPGAs
  • Fine-tune the algorithms used to control the radio and process baseband signals
  • Work with international customers, international universities, and research institutes
  • Innovate, think out of the box, challenge yourself

Your profile

Know-how
  • Ms or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering (electronics, microelectronics, microtechnologies)
  • A few years’ experience in the design of CMOS digital or mixed-signal circuits, preferably with an emphasis on low-power
  • Good grasp of RTL design techniques and high-level modelling/simulation
  • Demonstrated competences in digital signal processing (filters, interpolators, FFTs, CORDIC, PID controllers) and communication systems (modulation schemes, wireless modem architectures)
  • Ability to handle complex verification tasks
  • Experienced with CAD tools (Cadence, Mentor, Matlab, etc.). Exposition to the entire digital flow (including the backend) is a plus
  • Proficient in English. French and/or German a plus
