Summary

The DSP Technician at the PS Laboratory is involved in the execution of experiments/studies, the implementation of new equipment and of new processes at small scale for the production of monoclonal antibodies produced in mammalian cells.

The DSP Technician at the PS Laboratory is responsible for performing protein purification experiments at the PS Laboratory to characterize or define process parameters necessary for the transfer of the process to commercial scale. He contributes also to the execution of cell culture experiments and the required cell culture analyzes.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Prepares solutions and culture media.
• Responsible for the preparation / execution of protein purification experiments as well as small-scale process characterization studies (chromatography (Akta), UF/DF, SPTFF, nanofiltration).
• Small scale chromatography column package.
• Support the execution of cell culture experiments.
• Support the implementation of product testing methods (HPLC, TECAN).
• Contributes to the laboratory organization and purchase orders.
• Autonomously writes SOPs, study protocols, and other PS documents.
• Participates in the commissioning or qualification of new PS equipment (C&Q document review, execution follow-up).
• Contributes positively to a strong culture of business integrity and ethics.
• Works in compliance with legal requirements and company guidelines.
• Interactions and collaboration with on-site partner departments (QC, MFG, QA) and with Process Sciences laboratories in the United States.
• Delegation to: Laboratory Manager.
  

Requirements

• Laboratory technician CFC (or equivalent) with experience in biotechnology, HES engineer or University Bachelor with experience in laboratory.
• Minimum 3 year’s experience in a biotechnology laboratory, including purification of recombinant proteins.
• Experience in the use of small-scale FPLC instruments (Akta type) for protein purification by small-scale protein chromatography.
• Small scale column package experience.
• Knowledge of cell culture and analytics is a plus.
• Know and respect the safety rules of laboratory work.
• Being able to work in a highly regulated and rapidly changing environment.
• French and good English.
• Team work oriented mindset.
