About You

As Commodity Risk Operational manager, you will be part of the global commodity risk team & plays a critical role on keeping the operations running in an efficient & compliant way. You will support the global director of commodity risk management in managing Dow’s global exposure to feedstock’s & Energy.

This position is located in Horgen, Switzerland.

What you will be doing:
  • Maintain, improve & Run daily, weekly and monthly global reports to support the global Risk Director and Managers in managing the hydrocarbon exposures of Dow Globally.
  • Act as a first line of "defense" by doing a daily review of trades , systems, pricing , reports & limits to add a key control point that would support & make sure daily compliance with the F&E internal Delegation of authority.
  • Maintain & enhance CRM policies and procedures to make sure effective control mechanism continues to be in place.
  • Lead & coordinate the audit activities for the commodity risk management globally
  • Maintain & responsible for the hedge accounting documentation & treatment.
  • Maintain all market curves for volatilities, prices, and interest rates and work with Price Administrators to ensure all data flows through reporting systems & act as a backup for Price Administrator
Managing all Solutionism hedge requests:
  • Offers to downstream businesses
  • Quarterly settlements
  • Maintain Solutionism scorecard
  • Coordinate with other groups to get input for model"
Serve as a SME for regulatory Global Compliance for Commodity Risk Management, which includes:
  • Ensuring that Dow complies with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Keep up to date with, and understand, relevant laws and regulations
  • Monitor compliance with laws, regulations and internal policies
  • Contribute to robust and effective compliance controls within the organization
  • Gathering of internal information in response to regulatory requests
  • External Market regulations Dow CRM needs to comply with, are among others: Dodd-Frank, EMIR, REMIT, MiFID II, Variation Margin Protocol, FMIA
  • Related reporting to relevant authorities
  • Portfolio reconciliations with counterparties
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum requirement is B.Sc. degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, Finance or Law. Preferably with MBA, CPA, CMA, CIA or CFM.
  • Minimum of 5 years relevant experience
  • Fluent in English, additional language is a plus
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in Dow internal audit is a plus
  • Experience in finance or audit is strongly preferred
