Your Role at Cabot

Develops and directs the EMEA region’s business plans and activities to bring Cabot EMEA Specialty Compounds in a leadership position for the evolving sustainability transformation in the plastics industry. This role owns and drives the execution of this sustainability strategy in a partnership with the manufacturing, sourcing, supply chain, product management and commercial teams to ensure the delivery of both near-term profitability and long-term growth.

As key member of Regional Specialty Compounds Leadership Team, this role is also accountable to drive the regional translation of the business strategy into actionable sales and marketing growth plans. Open to learning and exploring, this marketing leader will foster our market leadership position in Black MB, look for adjacencies or totally new applications in existing or new markets segments to develop/manage a solid and dynamic pipeline of opportunities (market and product development). A deep value-based management mindset will be needed to implement and execute value-based pricing strategies and concepts. This role has the opportunity to change the business growth trajectory and with that make a significant contribution for regional. A successful candidate will need to have the ability to promote change and influence others as well as be very comfortable to change courses quickly as the view evolves.

The location of this role can be, but not limited to: the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, France, Italy, Switzerland.

How You Will Make An Impact
  • Develops regional sustainability strategy and business plan to accelerate leadership position for the evolving sustainability transformation in the plastics industry.
  • This role owns and drives the execution of this sustainability strategy in a partnership with manufacturing, sourcing/ supply chain, product management and commercial teams to ensure the delivery of both near-term profitability and long-term growth.
  • Develops regional marketing strategies to maximize profit, and Cabot position at market. Provides in depth marketing knowledge to the strategic plan including market trends, segmenting and targeting, positioning and value proposition, competitive activity, value selling and new market development. Through staff compiles and analyzes market position information separated by market share segments, competition, functional substitutes and industry trends.
  • Identifies regional marketing communications messages and coordinates with global Marketing Communications group; Supports regional events (trade shows, distribution events, etc.) as needed.
  • Capture market intelligence and develop insights, share globally and regionally and liaise with Global Market Intelligence.
  • Defines the value pricing methodology thinking across market segments including current future supply/demand market dynamics that impacts pricing aiming to maximize business profitability and optimize future growth.
  • Drives Product Marketing Positioning and Pricing guidance
  • Prioritizes resources and establishes priorities across multiple segments.
  • Oversees collection of competitive data and publishes periodic reports to communicate status and trends in the marketplace.

Education/Experience
  • Bachelor/University degree in Engineering or related science. Knowledge of Marketing theories and practices.
  • 10 years experience in business with focus in marketing and/or new business development preferred.
