Our People Advisory Services business (PAS) is focused on people management and our vision is to help our clients get it right in all its facets. PAS has three key pillars Transformation (Workforce Advisory), mobile talent and workforce enablement (Integrated Mobility) and transactions (Reward and HR M&A). In Reward, we help our clients to manage the complex challenges in executive/board rewards, pensions/benefits, corporate transactions and equally broader based reward topics such as regulatory compliance, broad based equity programs, grading, performance management and the like. The HR M&A team supports clients end to end on HR and people matters throughout various types of transactions, such as mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, divestitures and other corporate transactions. This includes project managing HR due diligence, as well as planning and executing integration, joint venture, separations and other types of corporate transactions. As part of the global team, this group benefits from strategic investment in a number of its businesses and forecasts significant growth in the short to medium term.

What you can expect - enriching experiences that will last a lifetime
  • Support and manage benchmarking projects on executive level, design of LTI and STI plans, rewards policies and HR handbooks, lead pay equity analysis projects
  • Support and manage benefits projects, employee retention initiatives and other C&B initiatives
  • Support the EY HR M&A Lead in HR due diligence and integration/separation projects, including providing project management support on multiple concurrent acquisitions, divestitures and other corporate transactions. Manage and structure work to meet and exceed client’s expectations
  • Support clients to address people related matters brought about via enterprise wide or functional re-organization / restructuring
  • Support and manage all report writing, project planning, data analysis, and development of presentation material
  • Manage, collaborate with, and mentor junior project team members
  • Lead on data analysis and present high quality, risk-managed reports/conclusions including client and executive presentations in various formats
  • Work with key project leaders to manage and maintain client relationships
  • Working collaboratively with other M&A service lines and PAS colleagues across EY globally

What you can contribute - skills for shaping the future
  • 3-4+ years corporate HR, Compensation & Benefits, or HR consulting experience
  • Ideally, M&A deal background or business restructuring with a focus on HR and people matters such as Due Diligence, post-deal integration and post deal value enhancement. Business transformation and restructuring such as organisation design or an HR generalist background or an M&A background (including legal or financial)
  • Proven Commercial HR experience from private, public sector or consulting
  • Experience of supporting and managing a project/workstream, demonstrating strong project management skills for high quality and timely delivery
  • Experience in working on people matters such as key employee retention, compensation and benefits programmes
  • Experience of working with and acting as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders on HR M&A /restructuring programmes
  • Experience of supporting, leading and/or coaching and developing client or internal teams to improve performance
  • Qualitative and quantitative data analysis skills and data manipulation and presentation
  • For candidates without prior significant Rewards and HR experience, strong M&A experience across a range of transactions, including M&A, IPO and restructuring
  • Strong written and verbal English and German communication skills and experience of producing high calibre reports, papers, presentations
  • Teamplayer mentality with the ability to integrate with new teams quickly
  • Ability to analyse complex problems and to deliver insightful, practical and sustainable solutions
  • Ablility to build and maintain relationships with senior stakeholders in a fast pace and complex environment
  • Ability to regularly bring ideas and insights to clients that provide value, help address risk and support the deal lifecycle
  • Ability to leverage knowledge and experience of the transaction lifecycle to identify and develop new opportunities
  • Skill of influencing, driving impact and implementing change
  • Pragmatic and adaptable with the ability to deal with ambiguity and effectively manage conflict
