IntroductionOn behalf of an international mid-size company based in Lausanne, we are searching for aStrategic Commodity ManagerDescription De La Mission
  • You lead the strategy of the materials purchase across all EMEA sites
  • You work closely with project teams (manufacturing, engineering, new product development & technology)
  • You develop the supplier base and manage vendor relationships to drive strategic sourcing initiatives
  • You select and evaluate assigned suppliers and monitor their KPI’s identifying actions to improve their performance
  • You identify and lead the implementation of cost reduction opportunities with focus on TCO model
  • You negotiate prices, terms and conditions to achieve targets
  • You support Procurement Coordinators through the escalation process and approve Purchase Orders
  • You evaluate and regularly communicate market updates and trends of the own commodities affecting products costs
Profil Attendu
  • Purchasing, Business or Engineering degree (Mechanical, Hydraulics)
  • At least 4-5 years’ experience in a similar role managing the sourcing function in mid-size international business
  • Prior experience within industrial components company is a strong asset (automotive, motors, pumps)
  • Strong knowledge of a Materials Management System, SAP is a plus
  • Fluent in English
