Job Description:

Your Mission :
The Supply Network Operations (SNO) organisation orchestrates our products’ end-to-end activities along their value chains and is the catalyst for establishing a customer-centric, seamless product flow that provides our patients and customers with the highest possible level of service. SNO contains all key supply chain operating processes, our product value stream group and the regional SNO teams.
The Head of Portfolio and New Products is responsible for the launch of all new products globally and subsequent roll out geographically. The scope of this role covers: New Product Launch, New Product Introduction, Portfolio Lifecycle Management, Material Change Management and serialization. This position will demonstrate expertise in end to end launch and change management ensuring we deliver for our patients right first time.
The position will work closely with the Manufacturing Organisations, Franchise Leadership, Finance, Regulatory teams, Value Stream Teams, Global Procurement, Regional SNO Leadership and other functional Supply Chain teams to develop a proactive critical path schedule to deliver all changes seamlessly.

Your responsibilities:

  • You lead your organization to build, maintain, and communicate product launch plans and track the deliverables, milestones, risks and dependencies to the cross functional launch team. You anticipate bottlenecks, explore contingencies and provide escalation management throughout new product launch
  • You support the company stage gate process, delivering critical paths to keep launches within the company objectives and products to be launched in a high standard, timely manner.
  • You hold regular Launch Readiness Meetings with Tech Ops Management, and coordinate stakeholder support for these meetings
  • You actively shape the process of launching new products (aligning launch measure across relevant departments, ensuring on-time launches, optimizing time-to-market, etc.)
  • You are responsible for portfolio management and are the process gate keeper for new product introduction requests, ensuring the business case is analyzed and approvals follow the defined governance
  • Your team are responsible for the proactive management of any changes which can impact delivery to our customers and patients- ensuring proactive management, risk mitigation and delivery versus the critical milestones.
  • You are a critical member of the SNO Leadership team, responsible for ensuring the Portfolio and New product systems are continuous evolving to meet the business needs and the strategic objectives of the SNO organisation
  • You are responsible to design and implement the required organisation structure to support the strategic SNO objectives.
  • You lead the SNO Portfolio & New Product Team with responsibility for organisation engagement, performance management and development.


Required experience & competencies:

  • Master degree in Engineering, (Bio-)Chemistry, Biology, Pharmaceutical Science, Chemical Engineering, Industrial management, supply chain, , regulatory or a related field.
  • 10+ years’ experience in supply chain/operations including at least 3 within pharmaceuticals or another highly regulated industry.
  • Expertise across new product development/introduction with proven results delivery.
  • Ability to influence and collaborate closely with global marketing and commercial teams
  • A change agent with experience of driving transformation across systems, processes and organisations.
  • An organisational developer- passionate about building capability within the organisation.
  • Self-starter, persistent, diplomatic, motivator, team player, people oriented, effective leader, goal-oriented and keen and effective in a cross-functional and cross- cultural working environment.
  • Outstanding communication skills: fluent in English and 2nd language is an advantage.
