Position

As Team Lead QC Chemistry, you will be based at our site in Aesch/BL and be responsible for all testing in the area of chemistry related to the production and release of our pharmaceutical, cosmetic and diagnostic products, including incoming goods release. You will report to the Head Quality Control and will manage a team of 3-4 people.

Tasks
  • Lead the QC team performing chemical tests
  • Support the lab by performing analysis (ca. 50%)
  • Ensure an efficient and flexible organization to deliver accurate analytical results on time (release and stability tests)
  • Deliver optimal personal qualification and resource allocation as well as overall process optimization
  • Provide a safe working environment in compliance with the company’s SHE directives
  • Represent the lab in customer audits; perform supplier and internal audit
  • Contribute to the personal development of single individuals and the team

Requirements
  • Chemical laboratory technician or equivalent scientific/analytical education with practical experience of min. 8 years in a QC environment, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Experience in working in a GMP environment
  • Experienced in analytical method optimisation and validation
  • Knowledge and experience in protein/peptide analytics is an asset
  • Proven managerial, organizational and leadership skills
  • Good communicator, team player and empathic personality
  • Willing to learn and take responsibility as well as ability to think out of the box
  • Fluent in German and English
