For our client, a Swiss production firm based in Canton Aargau, we are looking for VAT Manager to work on a 1-year contract. This is a great opportunity to be a part of an international team.

Job Main Responsibilities
  • As a member of the Group VAT competence team, provide advice on Indirect Taxes to business on supply chain questions, specific transactions and on standard business models
  • Timely and formally correct filing of Swiss and foreign VAT returns
  • Maintain and set the tax determination in the SAP ERP system for all OTIS SAP companies
  • Review and support international trade and business set-ups e. g. VAT registration abroad, EU VAT (consignment warehouses, chain transactions, triangular transactions, intra-Community deliveries/purchases, input tax refund procedures, etc.)
  • Assist in the implementation of Tax Digitalization projects (SAF-T, e-invoicing, e-archiving)
  • Support and advise stakeholders in the area of VAT primarily related to Switzerland and the EU on day-to-day VAT questions and issues

Candidate Profile Requirements
  • Several years of experience in Indirect Tax (with a focus on Swiss and especially EU VAT) gained preferably in the industry
  • Good CH and EU VAT know-how both theoretical and practical
  • Sound finance and accounting know-how
  • Affinity to process-based workstreams and handling big data sets
  • Strong SAP knowledge required as well as good Excel skills
  • Hands-on attitude, result driven and ability to work on complex business cases
  • Team player also capable to work autonomously
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Good command of written and spoken English; German would be advantageous
