Join us as a QA Functional & Automation Engineer to deliver high quality functional testing and to create and extend an automated, generic, sustainable, cost efficient & scalable test execution framework and to deliver functional enhancements to existing bank infrastructure.

  • Manage test execution of project feeding into the quarterly releases; ensuring smooth delivery and driving towards application quality (Including organizing walkthroughs with BA’s and walkthroughs with business)
  • Provides regular status reporting to key stakeholders including progress, risks, issues and mitigation steps
  • Opportunity to create & implement end to end testing automation strategy
  • Opportunity to improve overall automation maturity, coverage & establish testing standards & processes
  • Opportunity to build on Banking knowledge especially SWIFT processing
  • Opportunity to set the design & coding standards of the automation suite

Your skills and experience


We are looking for:

  • IT Degree – Computer Science / Computer Engineering
  • 8+ years of hands-on functional testing & automation coding experience
  • Required Skill Set:
    • Banking/Financial business knowledge
    • Very Strong Functional Testing fundamentals
    • Proficient in bug tracking and test management tool-sets (JIRA, SVN, GIT, Jenkins, HP-ALM, Octane)
    • Good exposure to web application testing
    • Strong understanding of overall architecture of systems under test
    • Strong experience in test strategy, test plan, test design, test execution traceability matrix, test report and ensure usage of tools for optimization
    • Must have coding experience in Java + Selenium and exposure to testing and web applications including Jenkins pipeline
    • Strong experience in SQL for database driven testing
    • Team player - highly proactive team player eager to support your colleagues when needed
    • You are prepared to take on responsibility for tasks and work independently
    • You present excellent organizational and time management skills
    • Knowledge or basic experience of agile development processes (SCRUM) is a great plus
    • Knowledge of software engineering lifecycle process is a plus
    • You have strong communication skill and vendor handling experience
    • Knowledge especially SWIFT messaging and Sanction Filter/Regulatory is a distinction
  • You possess excellent analytical troubleshooting skills and ability to own problems through to resolution
  • You demonstrate ability to effectively work both independently and within multi-functional project teams than span multiple time-zones
  • A proven ability to pick up and learn a wide range of new technologies and topics
  • You are a self-starter, being able to take ownership of tasks on short-notice and work under stress & challenging deadlines
