Today, Lonza is a global leader in life sciences operating across three continents. While we work in science, there’s no magic formula to how we do it. Our greatest scientific solution is talented people working together, devising ideas that help businesses to help people. In exchange, we let our people own their careers. Their ideas, big and small, genuinely improve the world. And that’s the kind of work we want to be part of.

As a member of the Quality Unit Support Team, you will be responsible for the operational support of individual computerized QC systems and specific laboratory software, as well as ensuring the GMP compliance of the systems. • Creation and validation of so-called forms (protocols for the documentation of laboratory tests) and other relevant documents (functional specifications, test scripts)

  • Site System Administrator role for iLAB and selected software systems, including user management

  • Creation and adaptation of documents in German and English

  • Additional tasks, like application support, will be assigned occasionally

Key requirements:

  • Apprenticeship (laboratory or computer science) with several years of professional experience or completed bachelor’s degree in natural sciences with several years of professional experience

  • Experienced handling of common software applications (MS Office) and a strong interest in working with computer-based systems are required

  • Experience in the GMP environment and in quality control is an advantage

  • User and/or specialist knowledge of individual pharmaceutical/laboratory software (e.g. Documentum, LIMS, Empower, iLAB, Trackwise) is an advantage

  • (Very) good knowledge of German and good knowledge of English language are required

  • Being open to learn German on a more professional level, because proficient German skills are required later

Every day, Lonza’s products and services have a positive impact on millions of people. For us, this is not only a great privilege, but also a great responsibility. How we achieve our business results is just as important as the achievements themselves. At Lonza, we respect and protect our people and our environment. Any success we achieve is no success at all if not achieved ethically.

People come to Lonza for the challenge and creativity of solving complex problems and developing new ideas in life sciences. In return, we offer the satisfaction that comes with improving lives all around the world. The satisfaction that comes with making a meaningful difference.
