In this important role as Quality and Continuous Improvement Manager you will establish and maintain a practice of excellence in Quality in order to meet or exceed customer expectations through the development and improvement of the systems and tools required to deliver stable performance and sustainable improvements across the Business.

Your Responsibilities

• Acts as a Role Model for the behaviour required to support a Quality Culture in line with Hitachy Energy ones witihin one of the BUs; Influence Senior Manager and Peers to ensure the correct thinking and decision making required to support the implementation and execution of Quality Strategies.
• Act independently to Operations as an internal advocate for customers in Quality related issues and decisions, Quality first.
• Ensures the Voice of the Customer is represented within the local business, by utilization of customer feedback processes like customer surveys, complaint resolution and result of customer feedback data analysis.
• Challenge the management team with customer experience feedback and input to decisions. Enable and coach teams to evaluate risks, problems and solutions from a customer / stakeholder point of view.
• Ensure appropriate quality assurance methods are applied to prevent mistakes when delivering products, projects or services to customers enabling Hitachi Energy to meet customer and stakeholder needs/expectations.
• Monitors and utilizes analytics of Quality data from all parts of the business to identify risks, failures and non-conformances within the businesses. Ensures that appropriate corrective and preventive actions are taken, and solutions are managed to closure. Drive towards a learning organisation enhancing lessons learned, best practice and audit processes.
• Establish, maintain and administer a certified BMS and QMS in compliance with all external certifications as required by external and internal customer. Governance of both global and local process owners to ensure the timely management of their accountable content. This includes the coordination of all necessary assessment and audit programs across the Business.
• Define and manage a robust control system to ensure that all relevant Quality processes are performing or delivering according to plan. This includes any gap or variance against plan or objectives / targets in process Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and Business Metrics for both functional and operational processes. Where gaps exist, ensure clear ownership and execution of corrections and corrective / preventive actions
• Assess the competencies and knowledge required to execute all Quality processes against the existing resource in the organization. Where gaps exist, develop and monitor training and development plans. Develop functional training content where needed.
  
  

Your background

• Senior level experience (10Y plus) in similar or equivalent roles, preferably coming form major multi national environment.
• Management capabilities, proven capacity of setting and managing quality systems in complex environments at medium large corporate levels
• Experience in Energy and renewable sector industries welcome
• SixSigma GB or BB level or equivalent welcome
• Location would be Europe but with proper candidatures other locations could be considered
• Language: English, welcome knowledge of other major languages
