Our client is a Swiss International Engineering and Construction development company in the fields of infrastructure and energy with aspirations to grow as an international developer, investor and contractor for projects in strategically selected high growth infrastructure markets.


Based in Zurich, they are looking for a Railway Electrification MANAGER (M/W)


  • Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate design development for electrification discipline with internal team, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring its compliance with technical, commercial and timeline requirements,
  • Analyse and select technologies, methodologies, and solutions best suitable for the project,
  • Support procurement process for Electrification work packages providing all necessary technical information and assessing technical offers and potential suppliers; subcontractors and consultants,
  • Liaise with design, procurement, and construction teams, as well as subcontractors and experts of other disciplines to ensure the successful delivery of the electrification work packages,
  • Follow up progress of Electrification work packages jointly with project management team to identify and address potential delays and deviations from programme,
  • Negotiate Contracts with external parties to reach profitable Agreements.
  • Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or relevant fields
  • 7+ years of proven experience as a Railway Electrification Design/Execution Engineer
  • Knowledge of relevant European and International Railway Standards
  • Knowledge of High-Speed Rail Electrification current technologies, construction processes, materials and equipment;
  • Experienced in all Methodologies and Procedures related to a project and able to coordinate with Project Team to achieve best results
  • Analytical thinking, structured problem-solving skills, superior communication skills, team building, and strong work ethic
  • Health & Safety awareness
  • Fluent in English language (both written and spoken), German is an advantage and any foreign languages are a plus
  • Excellent knowledge of Office Software
  • Good understanding of Project Management principles and techniques
  • Good understanding of Planning, Cost Control, Estimating, Change control and Risk analysis
  • MANDATORY: European passport
