We seek to strengthen our team with a

R&D Engineer in Additive Manufacturing, (60-100%)

Your responsibilities and tasks will include:

  • Applied research in the Swiss Advanced Manufacturing Center (SAMC) in close collaboration with the current interdisciplinary research team
  • Leading and co-management of innovation projects or subprojects
  • Active contribution of knowledge in the field of expertise
  • Direct collaboration with industrial partners in the frame of innovation projects or R&D services
  • Representation of SAMC and presentation of project results and capabilities.

Your profile:

  • PhD/Master degree in Control or Systems Engineering, Robotics, Electrical Engineering or related discipline
  • Track record of work in interdisciplinary research projects
  • Relevant practical experience in at least three of the following fields: Systems Control, Sensors, data acquisition and treatment, process control, data analysis and machine learning, embedded systems programming, electronics, mechanics, Laser processes, optics
  • Practical experience with laser powder bed fusion is an advantage
  • Proficiency in Python, C# or similar languages
  • Knowledge in CAD (SolidWorks) is a plus
  • Open-minded, solution-oriented personality with high social competence and good communication skills; a team player
  • Intrinsic curiosity and motivation to advance manufacturing technology
  • English spoken and written, German and French advantageous
