Optotune is a strongly growing and internationally active optics company based in Dietikon, Switzerland. We develop, manufacture and market the latest generation of adaptive optical elements for industrial and consumer markets.

Tasks
  • Mechanical design assistance in RnD product development from the concept to the product launch
  • Creation and maintenance of 3D models in CAD (Solid Works) for product design and process development
  • Creating, checking, and releasing of mechanical drawings
  • Tracking and documentation of drawing changes
  • Technical consulting of project leaders as well as process and product engineers
  • Design reviews to catch risks and show possibilities
  • Close collaboration with product and process engineers
  • Collaboration with suppliers to learn the state-of-the-art manufacturing methods
  • Ordering of parts, if appropriate incoming control, and supplier feedback
Requirements
  • Technical apprenticeship in engineering design (Konstrukteur EFZ)
  • Mechanical design experience with Solid Works
  • Technical affinity and a “certain feeling” for the right technical solution
  • Experience in using PDM systems
  • Good understanding of tolerances
  • Creative and analytical thinking, proactive, well organized, autonomous, hands-on, open-minded for challenging ideas
  • Good Knowledge of German and English
