Optotune & NextLens is a strongly growing and internationally active optics company based in Dietikon, Switzerland. We develop, manufacture and market the latest generation of adaptive optical elements for industrial (Optotune) and consumer markets (NextLens).

Working within our product development team, you develop exciting new products by integrating advanced actuator technologies with Optotune’s core adaptive optical components. In the team, you bring the next generation of innovative optical products from idea to production.

Tasks
  • Design, development, qualification and launch of new products, incorporating principles and concepts from mid to high-volume manufacturing production
  • Feasibility studies and evaluation of new applications
  • Support of product transfer and release to operation
  • Technical customer support
  • Continuously improve the yield and throughput during the product
  • development by understanding the root causes from a product design perspective
  • Create intellectual property and contribute to technology management
  • Collaboration and reporting in multidisciplinary project teams
  • Inspire team members to strive for alignment, entrepreneurial thinking and high performance

Requirements
  • MSc/BSc degree in mechanical, mechatronics or electrical engineering, physics, photonics or equivalent
  • Experience in product development, mechanical engineering or consumer electronics industries
  • Experience in high-volume manufacturing is a benefit
  • Product design experience. Solidworks, Altium , Comsol are of advantage
  • Familiar with FMEA, Gage R&R, DOE, SPC and other statistical modeling
  • Creative and analytical thinking, proactive, well organized, autonomous, hands-on, open-minded for challenging ideas
  • Good knowledge of English
