Regional Segment Manager, Marine Industry

In this role you will be accountable to meet Business Line System Drives’ sales and market share growth target within System Integrator and OEM manufacturer market in the region (Asia excl. China). Leads System Integra-tor and OEM account capturing and development together with local sales units, ensuring there is target account plans and sales pipeline monitoring in place.

Your responsibilities

  • Strategic alignment: Supporting development of regional growth strategy together with Global Sales Manager based on the global segment strategy. Implements with region specific action plan.
  • Targets: Ensuring achievement of the Business Line’s targets on growth, market share, orders and profitability within the assigned market segment in the region. Ensuring detailed business/sales plans are in place with regular follow up.
  • Sales and Marketing: Together with global sales manager & local sales units, defining key marketing and sales actions. Establishing appropriate metrics for the account actions and sales pipeline to monitor performance.
  • Account Management: Ensuring that the major accounts in the segment(s) are identified and prioritized. May act as Account Manager for one or more major accounts in the Region/Country. Capturing and maintaining System Integrator and OEM accounts together with local Sales Units and with Division Sales
  • Customer relationship: Understanding customer needs in the market for domain support, products and implements those with Business Line. Identifies major projects regionally within the segment and ensures appropriate approach to those projects. Builds and maintains strong relationships at senior levels with the key stakeholders.
  • Domain expertise: Developing and maintaining a broad domain and application expertise within marine electrification.
  • Reporting: Using standard reporting tools to accurately identify future opportunities and measure progress in the segment.

Your background

  • University degree in Engineering or Business Administration.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken); additional languages are an advantage.
  • Good technical understanding of marine electrical systems and current design trends.
  • Marine system integration sales or project management experience is highly beneficial.
  • Familiar with marine System Integration, yard and OEM market in Asia.
  • Flexibility in travelling.
  • Experience in sales and sales development is essential.
