Position Summary

The Supply Planning team in Schaffhausen is working closely with the business segments, manufacturing sites, transportation team and Business Service Center and is responsible to ensure optimal Service for our customers, while optimizing inventory levels and ensure optimal production performance. The Regional Supply Planner will execute the monthly Regional Production Planning process that supports the Regional Business Plan. He/she will contribute to enhancements and developments of systems to support the planning activity.

Job Responsibilities
  • Manage the production planning process and coordinate data input from Cabot business segments, Manufacturing, Product Lines and Logistics to create, validate and deliver an operating plan for the 18-month period. This plan will optimize each facility’s capacity and Cabot’s costs.
  • Update and communicate plan with the organization on a monthly basis in light of changing market needs, manufacturing and distribution capability.
  • Manage the supply chain tools and processes including developing and/or implementing new or modified tools as appropriate.
  • Ensure inventory levels are consistent with cost and service criteria defined by regional and global management to optimally support Cabot’s business strategy.
  • Ensure compliance with all policies, procedures and standard business practices as they pertain to purchasing and inventory management functions, including internal control ISO standards.

Requirements
  • Agility & flexibility combined with a strong customer focus is a must
  • Good problem-solving skills under time pressure
  • Team player with strong communications skills
  • Excellent English skills; any additional language of advantage
  • Familiarity with Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) tools and systems
  • Knowledge of business disciplines and functions and their inter-dependencies
  • Min 5 years of experience in Supply planning in chemical manufacturing company
  • JDA/BY is a must, SAP know how a benefit
  • Understanding of matrix management environment in international companies
