Role: Large Molecule Make Asset Management Platform Reliability Business Process Owner

Reports to:Platform Engineer, MAM Strategy, Governance and Performance

Travel: This position will require up to 20% domestic and international travel.

Location: Schaffhausen, Switzerland; Cork, Ireland; Leiden, Netherlands, Malvern, USA; Gurabo, Puerto Rico.

This role is open to applicants who wish to work part-time (80% of a working week), or job share, or who are returning to the workplace after a career break.

MAKE Asset Management (MAM) Organization

The MAM organization operates as one integrated team in the delivery of Engineering, Maintenance and Execution Systems activities. This occurs in a standard, coordinated and consistent manner in support of the current and future requirements of our Manufacturing & Technical Organization (MTO) and in conjunction with key partners, to create one integrated internal/external network.

Job Summary

At a time when the Large Molecule platform is growing at significant pace to supply an unprecedented number of exciting new biotherapeutic products and modalities (including vaccines, Cell & Gene Therapy, Oncology), we are expanding our team, looking for enthusiastic people to develop exciting, innovative and integrated solutions to address our complex business & technical challenges.

The LM platform currently comprises of Drug Substance API and Drug Product Fill/Finish manufacturing sites with both clinical & commercial capabilities in US: Malvern PA and Puerto Rico; in Europe: Leiden NL, Schaffhausen CH, Cork IRL; and in Asia: Incheon, South Korea. We anticipate that our network will continue to grow, and this business growth will position us to become one of the world’s largest biopharmaceutical companies.

One of the biggest opportunities we have to support our manufacturing sites is to optimise the reliability of our assets, ensuring we provide a reliable suite of assets and a sustainable supply chain ecosystem to our business partners, which will ensure a reliable supply of medicines to our customers, patients and healthcare partners.

The LM MAM Platform Reliability Business Process Owner will be responsible for driving the reliability performance of manufacturing equipment across the Large Molecule Platform.

The Responsibilities And The Impact YOU Will Have

• Responsibility for driving the reliability performance of manufacturing equipment across the LM Platform
• Specifically:
• Develop a long-term vision and plan for manufacturing equipment reliability performance improvement
• Monitor and analyze the reliability performance, and drive root cause elimination
• Accountable for reliable, high-quality and efficient execution of reliability strategies for all manufacturing assets in scope of MAM LM.
• Act as a Subject Matter Expert with respect to reliability performance and risk management
• Monitoring, evaluating and piloting new technologies to support the reliability targets
• Lead execution of site and/or cross-site and strategic reliability projects and initiatives in the platform
• Partner with Operations, MAM Centre of Excellence, Small Molecule Platform MAM, Engineering & Property Services and other relevant global functions to ensure aligned approach on common Reliability focus areas
• Become a Change Agent and trained facilitator as part of our MAM WAVE agile teams program
• Support in other areas of the MAM organisation as needed

A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree required in engineering/science or other technical degree

Experience

• Minimum of 10 years of relevant pharmaceutical/biological manufacturing and related experience required.
• Highly developed expertise in one or more core areas, specifically, Asset Reliability, Systems Engineering, Equipment Design and Procurement. Overall knowledge of all related engineering/maintenance areas
• Proven track record in Engineering and Maintenance in the pharmaceutical industry including safety and (product) quality critical technical expertise.
• Must have strong collaboration and influencing skills to partner effectively at all levels and across multiple groups
• Ability to operate both strategically/conceptually as well as practically at the shop floor level and to connect easily across different levels in the organization locally and globally at a Platform level
• Strong organization and prioritization skills
• Fluent English verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills is required.
