Job Description

Key Responsibilities

This person will be expected to develop and manage the remarketing and trade-in channels across Europe in collaboration with internal and external partners.
  • Build-up partnerships with local service providers in remarketing area
  • Develop a certified pre-owned (CPO) program including the definition of standards, processes, and operations
  • Maximize values of off-lease units through exploration of new and innovative sales strategies for used cars to enhance the second cycle of vehicles (subscription, 2nd lease cycle etc.)
  • Define KPIs to manage inventory, residual values, and downside risk.
  • Ensure used car pricing is aligned with strategic pricing goals, working closely with Finance, GM Financial Services and affiliated partners on CPO and used financial products and programs
  • Partner with Sales, Logistics, Retail Development, Finance, and other internal and external stakeholders to analyze location operations and processes to facilitate Remarketing operations
  • Determine competitive landscape/business needs relating to lease residual values, interest rates, retail finance types and industry trends that can be addressed via lease/sales programs
  • Create and manage seamless and efficient trade-in processes, including disposition of acquired off-brand units

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing, Management or equivalent - required.
  • You are well experienced of managing vehicle remarketing at a major automotive brand with a deep understanding about revenue optimization across the full vehicle lifecycle
  • Sound understanding of the remarketing practices, players and KPIs in the major European markets
  • Strong network with key potential partners for remarketing operations and trade-in
  • Understanding of the direct-to-consumer and subscription business models
  • Leadership skills to manage and create in a complex, undefined and unestablished environment
  • Ability to motivate and inspire cross functional teams to meet common business goals
  • Ability to build relationships and work through challenges with partners
  • Ability and willingness to travel
