Your role

– manage and support critical reporting system
– deploy new code in production
– analyze incident impact, identify probable cause and define workarounds
– drive problem management and continual improvement of processes
– ensure coordination and communication by upholding high incident and problem management standards for a timely issue resolution
– Automate repetitive & manual tasks with scripts
– Implement improvements on application, monitoring, statistics and telemetry

Your team

You’ll be working in an application support team in Opfikon. The team is responsible for L2 application support for several Trading, Settlement and Product Data related applications and ensures application availability as well as data quality. With insights into application design, functionality and the underlying technology stack and databases, we solve issues along agreed service levels and continuously drive product improvements on operational aspects. The team frequently optimizes and automates its working environment with a broad set of IT tools to increase service quality and efficiency.

Your expertise

This role addresses to peoples with a strong IT background and general understanding of the financial industry.

You have:
  • An investigative curious mindset
  • strong analytical, deductive, problem-solving skills
  • prior experience working with Linux & Unix
  • practical SQL knowledge
  • fluency in Python scripting
  • the ability to use analytical tools and do smart scripting
  • Good communication in English (spoken & written). German would be a plus

You are:
– reliable and eager to take on responsibility and ownership for supported applications and willing to drive issues to solutions
– proactive, self-organized and self-driven in your style of working with a strong urge to learn something new every day
– capable of understanding clients and user needs and successful translation into good application support services.
– Shows Initiative & commitment with a drive to improve inefficiencies
