Your role

Conducting applied research in the field of Campus Management which includes qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis Development of theoretically and empirically founded strategies to innovative Campus Management Application of the developed understanding to client projects Engagement as a member of the Workplace Management research group at the IFM Academic mobility to promote exchange with the research group at the NTNU (Centre for Real Estate and Facilities Management at the Department of Architecture and Planning) The research assistants are expected to enroll in NTNU’s PhD program. They will be jointly su-pervised by distinguished academics from both universities and will work in Wädenswil, Switzerland. The research assistants will work on ZHAW’s research project "Innovative Campus Solutions", which in-volves the research groups "Workplace Management" and "Real Estate Management" of the IFM. The project covers research topics such as workplace management, strategic space management, and campus development. The ZHAW research project "Innovative Campus Solutions" is an interdisciplinary and inter-institutional project operating in cooperation with NTNU. The overall aim of the campus pro-jects is to develop campus strategies that reflect recent changes and trends in the academic world, such as emphasis on interdisciplinary collaboration or new forms of teaching and learning.

Your profile

Excellent M.Sc. degree in Facility Management, Real Estate, Architecture, relevant Social Sciences, or another related field of study of 120 ECTS. Strong analytical capabilities Experience in conducting applied research on built environments Proficiency in German and English (oral and written) Admission to the PhD program at NTNU (Norwegian University of Science and Technology) The position is limited to three years with a possibility of extension Your application should include a research statement (max. 3 pages) including research ques-tions with a theoretical and methodological approach, a list of publications, a one-page summary of your MSc degree (including a diploma supplement when obtained outside of Switzerland) and your academic transcripts.

In addition, it offers the possibility of doctoral studies together with international partner universities. The Institute’s strategic research focuses on "Sustainability in FM", "FM Digital", "Workplace Manage-ment" and "FM in Health Care.
