Your key tasks are:

  • Acquisition of new customers per Branch-specific strategic guidelines and maintenance as well as development of existing customers in assigned customer portfolio.
  • Execute and control sales activities in line with given strategic guidelines for assigned customer portfolio as per given sales targets.
  • Conduct customer acquisition, i.e. gain new business with flagged target accounts.
  • Ensure customer retention, i.e. develop and maintain business with existing accounts.
  • Update CRM (Customer Relationship Management) with customer information, visiting reports and business opportunities.
  • Build-up and actively manage a Sales Pipeline through the sales cycle phases 1 to 5.
  • Support Country Tender Management on RFQ’s of assigned accounts.
  • Assure successful customer integration to Operations through proper sales handover document.
  • Instruct Sales Coordinator to maintain customer tariffs and to upload into Cargo Wise One.
  • Generate sales leads and share within the network as per defined process.
  • Ensure all global sales policies, processes and guidelines are adhered.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Relevant working experience (minimum 5 years), Industry experience (minimum 3 years), Sales experience (minimum 2 years)
  • Functional know-how in Airfreight, Ocean Freight, Customs Clearance and Logistics
  • Strong sales know-how
  • Deep local market knowledge (customers and competitors)
  • Able to manage cross-functional interfaces (Operations and ISP’s)
  • Organizational skills (prioritize, plan, assign, delegate and control)
  • Capable of independently meeting expected sales goals
  • Problem Solving & Decision Making Skills
  • Communication & Interpersonal Skills
  • Negotiation & Persuasion Skill
  • Relationship building and maintenance capabilities
  • Presentation Skills
  • Business administration / commercial background
  • Fluent in spoken an written French and English, German is an asset
