Sales Support Specialist

Working with Process Automation, you will have the ownership of complete techno commercial bid, analyzing customer specifications in order to have a clear picture of its requests and to prepare a reliable technical solution for the bid.

Your responsibilities

• Supporting front end sales personnel to achieve the order received commitments. Defining the most suitable technology and product type(s) to be used based on application characteristics. Defining the configuration in accordance with the bid commercial needs and requested quality metrics.
• Ensuring the preparation of technical and financial aspects of the offer, indicating prices and trading conditions. Analyzing customer needs and competitor offers through general market information and information provided by sales organization.
• Analyzing and evaluating specific technical issues and associated risks. Identifying potential vendors for the equipment and materials required in the project and evaluating supplier offers for alignment with the specifications. Collaborating with the supply chain management to coordinate requests of subcontractors.
• Defining cost for the proposed solution and communicating to the customer/sales organization. Providing information to the risk review process in accordance with ABB policy and sometimes participating in the risk review assessment.
• Ensuring the needed technical support to the sales managers during the technical meeting with the customers. Collecting documentation regarding the offer/order and recording assumptions and decisions taken during the development of supply/order.

Your background

• Bachelor/Masters in Automation /Electrical Engineering
• 3- 5 years’ experience in electrical process control design and engineering functions executing large projects.
• Product knowledge of ABB /other automation and electrical products
• Excellent knowledge & understanding of electrical systems and understanding of electrical process control and power systems in general.
• Coordination skills within a multinational company. Experience coordinating and cooperating with colleagues from multiple countries and with multicultural backgrounds.
• Multi priority & Multi-tasking. Analytical approach.
• Problem solving & conflict resolution. Eye for details.
• High customer orientation.
• Communications & presentation skills.
• Capability to drive the electrical and control design engineering specification of the project independently.
• Excellent level of English required.
