SAP Business Architect (f/m/d) Strategic Clients in Service or Trading Industries

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Business Architect for global Service or Trading accounts is a key customer facing role within the Swiss Presales organization to support and inspire our customers on their digital transformation path to become an intelligent enterprise. Based on a profound knowledge of the Service or Trading Industry the Business Architect acts as a trusted advisor who supports our customers to translate their Business Strategy and future ambitions into a roadmap and solid architecture that build the foundation for their digital transformation and allow them to harvest the best benefit out of it.


This role is a strategic investment of SAP into the long-term relationship with our key customers. Customer intimacy, a deep know how of the industry and as well of the SAP portfolio are key together with proven communication skills on Executive Business and IT Management levels.


As a Business Architect for Service or Trading industries you will on the one hand closely work together with your assigned customers and develop them together with your sales counterparts. This includes long-term account and deal support as well as Business Development and Industry Leadership. Your success will be based on your experience to define a deal strategy and competitive positioning and your ability to build trusted relationships with the customer as well as with your colleagues in the virtual account team and the SAP ecosystem. Handling pressure and managing multiple engagements simultaneously is a key asset. When it comes to larger opportunities it will be your task to articulate a compelling value proposition and define the business value. Based on your discussions with the client’s executives you will help to identify business needs and opportunities and provide guidance how SAP can address these.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

  • Your ambition is to understand your customer’s business targets and to translate them into business and solution architectures that generate value for your client
  • You are not bothered to discuss business challenges in the area of Service or Trading Industries with C-level stakeholders to understand their business requirements, current business demand and propose new solutions and applications that provide enhanced value from a customer perspective
  • As a key member of the Account Team, you support and drive the definition of the account strategy based on business and solution opportunities
  • You feel energized to act as the deal captain for customer engagements and have the experience to drive the preparation and execution for customer interactions and demos together with other experts from our internal and external ecosystem
  • You are used to design business and solution architectures based on the best-fit components from our extended ecosystem to enable the expected benefits
  • You support your customer in defining and implementing a solid transformation roadmap towards your common goal
  • You don’t hesitate to challenge the status quo - to enable the full customer value
  • You manage the opportunity qualification process together with the account team
  • You have a cloud first mindset and are interested to apply latest architecture technology.


WORK EXPERIENCE

  • You build on more than 10 years of Service or Trading Industries / project management / solution consulting experience and have proven your presales and project experience in multiple SAP customer projects/engagements.
  • You have a sound experience with SAP products; ideally with S/4HANA
  • You have an excellent understanding of key business processes in Service or Trading
  • You have experience with GxP and CSV requirements
  • Your experience in sales and with sales processes is a plus.
  • Business fluency in English and German is a must, French is an asset.



EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATION / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • Graduate / Post-Graduate degrees in Management, IT or Engineering areas.
  • Cross-solution knowledge is preferred.
  • Possesses deep industry or cross solution expertise and is proactively engaged in the related market trends.
  • Adept at handling project communications, capable of having C-level interactions and engaging with senior management stakeholders, managing expectations and proposing value-based offerings.
