As an Application Package Specialist, you’ll help clients in the selection, implementation, and production support of application packaged solutions. Your Role and Responsibilities
The IBM Client Innovation Centre (CIC) is an innovative and exciting part of IBM, working as IBM Global Business Services’ technical delivery partner. We continually innovate for our customers, employees and shareholders. Our Technical Skills range from Application Development (Java, Front End, Full Stack, DevOps), Testing Services, Technical Support through to Microsoft. In addition to our technical expertise we can cover Delivery through Project Managers & Project Analysts, Business or Data Analysts.

As a Supply Chain Consultant at IBM CIC, get ready to tackle numerous mission-critical company directives. Our team takes on the challenge of designing, developing and re-engineering highly complex application components and integrating software packages using various tools. You will use a mix of consultative skills, business knowledge, and technical expertise to effectively integrate packaged technology into our clients’ business environment and achieve business results.

Your Impact:
In this role, you will:
  • Assist clients in the implementation, and production support of Supply Chain Planning, Collaboration and Forecasting solutions to help the client to efficiently manage their demand, supply andinventory management processes including their collaboration with their 3rd party vendors
  • Support our clients in introducing digital SC planning solutions such as SAP APO, SAP IBP, E2Open, O9 and other planning tools to their organization and bringing more transparency into planning process execution and data quality management
  • Consult our clients on SAP APO, SAP IBP, E2Open, O9 implementations and deployment options, be knowledgeable in various SC planning tools deployment options from stand-alone to side-car to embedded versions,as well as roadmap differences between releases and new innovations
  • Analyze business processes and their corresponding requirements and find the best implementation option across various best of breed package solutions, including the work on configuration, functional solutioning and specifications for custom developments, testing, training, hypercare and incidents, and change requests
  • Use your knowledge and experience on design, build and test of integration solutions between ERP and SC planning solutions across all phases of an implementation project (design, build, test, document, release and maintain)

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
  • Extensive experience of working with clients from the consumer industry (preferably 10+ years) in the area of Supply Chain and Cross border Logistics.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in package solution consulting and proven track record of practical experience in configuration, customization, testing, data migration & training in at least 3 full lifecycle implementations
  • Extensive experience in conducting requirement gathering workshops with a team of functional consultants and subject matter experts, performing detailed analysis of complex business process in the area of SC planning, Logistics, materials management and perform fit-gap analysis, translate the requirements into actionable project initiatives with associated metrics.
  • Leading and managing delivery of engagements in the area of Supply Chain, Logistics and warehousing solutions for our clients
  • Knowledge of new industry trends like Block chain, supply chain digitalization and at least 1 full Lifecycle implementation experience on one such solution.
  • Participate by providing inputs in RFP solution preparation and Orals presentations in the area of Supply Chain, Logistics Execution and Warehousing.
  • Planning and Managing of cutover activities with Business and external Vendors during the blackout period prior to Go Live.
  • Provide Go live and hyper care support and help stabilize the solution.
  • Certification in SAP APO, E2Open is a must
  • Experience or knowledge in applying agile project delivery methods, e.g. Scrum, SAFe
  • Very good communication skills (verbal and written) in English
  • Swiss nationality or valid Swiss work permit / EU passport
