SCAN is an analytics program within Janssen Supply Chain. Our aim is to accelerate value delivery by providing analytics as a service.
Job Summary
A SCAN Product Analyst is the link between the business objectives and core technological capabilities the team is building.
An agile team requires constant adaptation and innovation to turn customer needs into outputs. A Product Analyst’s goal is to drive organized and effective requirements to build the product.
They are responsible for utilizing creative and practical thinking to translate requirement into direct improvements. The Product Analyst is then responsible for ensuring the team knows and understands what they are expected to build through a backlog and user stories and how it connects to overall objectives.
The Product Analyst is the team’s source for business logic, requirements, analysis, testing features once ready etc.
SCAN Product Analyst will get exposure to data analytics capabilities available in JSC and the opportunity to create a broad network across multiple sites and interdependent Programs related to data and data analytics.
The Responsibilities And The Impact YOU Will Have
- Support business value case definition for SCAN initiatives.
- Gather requirements from the business, including liaising with sites and determining business logic, and providing these requirements to the Product Owner.
- Support the Product Owners to finalize solutions by testing product features in conjunction with end users and gathering feedback to optimize solutions.
- Create user stories that highlight the value of solutions, and promote these stories amongst stakeholders and potential additional customers of the solution, to maximize the return and usage from the solution.
- Partner with sites or customers of the solutions as appropriate to support the tracking and execution of the SCAN deployment roadmap.
- Ownership of metrics / KPI’s to assure business alignment and adoption of SCAN capabilities.
- Change management & communication related to SCAN applications to establish a culture of business pull based on democratized data and skill sets. Identification of capability building requirements, such as training and coaching for the user community; and coordination of provision of same.
- Benchmark with internal and external business to identify and implement best practices for scale.
- Building relationships with global groups such as Digital & Data Science, Johnson and Johnson Technology (JJT), and Integrated Data Management (IDM), as well as with local site SCAN teams and resources.

Qualifications
Qualifications / Education:
- BS or BA in engineering, bioscience, statistics, mathematics, or related field.
- A minimum of 5 years supply chain experience
Skills and Experience:
- A strong technical understanding of data analytics tools and technologies (e.g. Tableau) is required.
- Requires a high degree of business acumen, influence, and strong executive interpersonal skills.
- Proven track record of successfully implementing change in a matrix environment, that demonstrates strong leadership and potential, managing and working with a multi-functional team.
- Experience in the healthcare and life sciences or related field is preferred.
- Excellent communicator with ability to crystalize complex scientific and technical issues to clear business language and tell a compelling story
- Some experience leading / working with teams in an agile setting as an analyst
- Able to articulate business requirements and bridge the gap with development teams and stakeholders
- Strong problem solver with ability to lead the team to push the solution and progress.
