Your field of responsibility


We are offering an exciting opportunity to join us as a science-oriented researcher, a dynamic position where you will get the opportunity to further build out Credit Suisse’s ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) Competence Center. In this role, you will act as senior contact point for ESG content expertise globally across the bank. You will also have the opportunity to: further develop and consolidate Credit Suisse’s ESG policies; select and combine various ESG data sources to form an integrated, state-of-the-art house view; work with investment professionals to perform single security and sector analyses; support marketing and sales efforts; contribute to the investigation of company-specific incidents (business conduct violations); deliver input for engagement topics and ensure alignment with applicable industry standards

Your skills and experience


Are you the perfect fit for this role? Now is your chance to show us that you have the following skills,
experience and attributes:

  • A university or equivalent degree with a science (physics, chemistry, biosciences) or engineering background
  • At least 3 years of post-doc or academic professional experience
  • Deep ESG insights in your specific area of expertise (technology, science or industry)
  • A profound interest in cross-industry ESG topics where your knowledge can be applied
  • A deep understanding of how material ESG risks and opportunities can affect industries and single firms
  • An understanding of the financial industry and investments
  • A keen interest in exploring further how ESG information can impact investment decisions
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate research findings in both written and spoken format
  • The ability to liaise with senior stakeholders and act as an ESG business partner across the bank
  • Fluent English. Other languages are an additional asset
  • Dedication to fostering an inclusive culture and value diverse perspectives
