Our laboratory in Plan-les-Ouates is a world leading group in chemical and biochemical analysis specialized in high-end GLP/GMP contract analytical services in Mass Spectrometry, Chromatography and Biophysical techniques. We provide analytical services in Life Sciences, including structural analysis of biologics (proteins, glycoproteins and carbohydrates), their quantification and various chemical studies.


Job Description
  • Design, develop and validate analytical methods according to guidelines.
  • Perform sample preparation and analysis according to defined instructions (study plan, SOPs,...).
  • Prepare and /or review Study Plan, Report or Certificate of Analysis to provide quality service document to Client expectations.
  • Organise the daily/weekly work of Analysts. Support/supervise Analysts on all their responsibilities.
  • Ensure monitoring of science and technology mainly in the field of protein/peptide characterization by mass spectrometry.
  • Consult with Client regarding on-going work, report content to develop our relationship with our Client.

Qualifications
  • Msc/PhD diploma or equivalent in a science discipline (e.g. analytical chemistry, biochemistry).
  • Expertise in protein/peptide analysis using liquid chromatography coupled to mass spectrometry.
  • Relevant experience in protein/peptide characterization by LC-MS based methods (e.g. intact mass analysis, peptide mapping, sequencing, protein modifications).
  • Fluent in spoken and written French and English.
  • Experience in working in a GMP contract service lab would be appreciated.
  • Able to work in regulatory (GxP) environment.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with customers and other SGS laboratories.
  • Ability to understand customer needs.
  • Experienced working as part of a team contributing positively to shared objectives.
  • Able to work independently and coordinate complex activities simultaneously.
  • Reliable and flexible - Open to new challenges.
  • Good organising ability – Able to work to deadlines.
  • Ability to decide and act.
