The Synthesis & Process Engineering department, part of our Research & Development Division, based in our Geneva headquarters, is looking for a highly motivated and dynamic:

SCIENTIST- ORGANIC SYNTHESIS - CATALYSIS

Job Responsibilities:
  • Discovery, development and scale-up of innovative chemical transformations or new syntheses for Fragrance & Flavour ingredients using renewable raw materials
  • Transfer to production of efficient & sustainable processes
  • Preparation & use of homogeneous/heterogeneous catalysts
  • Perform literature and patent search for projects
  • Perform experimental work independently for the assigned projects
  • Meet high environmental and safety standards
  • Collaboration with external partners
We value:
  • PhD in Chemistry with in-depth knowledge of organic synthesis
  • At least one year of post-doctoral experience in organic chemistry or relevant working experience in a related field
  • Experience in the field of renewable chemicals is a plus
  • Passion for chemical innovation
  • Hands-on experience in preparing, characterizing, and using catalysts, ideally on projects related to biomass valorization and upcycled materials
  • Capacity to work independently, good organizational skills, priority and result oriented
  • Curious, open-minded with excellent communication skills for successful teamwork.
