As a member of our Microbial Research & Development Team in Lonza Biologics in Visp you will be involved in the development of bacteria and yeast production strains and the implementation in fermentation processes. You are enthusiastic about innovation and new technologies and enjoy transferring science into processes by working in a collaborative manner in an interdisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities:

  • Involvement in the development and optimization of bacterial and yeast production hosts for recombinant production processes

  • Generation, testing, screening, fermentation and analysis of production hosts

  • Planning and execution of experiments as well as data analysis, documentation and internal presentation

  • Coordination of lab work with other team members

  • Working in a flexible, independent and accurate way and enjoying experimental work in the laboratory

Key requirements:

  • Degree in biology, biotechnology, biochemistry or similar

  • Experience in molecular biology and corresponding analytical methods, basic experience in fermentation would be advantageous

  • Team spirit, initiative and willingness to learn.

  • Good communication skills in English complete your profile
