Req ID 130689Your Main Responsibilities- Serves as the primary link between Procurement organization and Business lines (in particular Operations, Product Line, Engineering, product development / R&D) for NPD.
- Monitors compliance with the Supplier and Material Strategy in new product development initiatives
- Drives Direct Material Cost Out events like Value Analysis/Value Engineering, DM IDB Workshops, Supplier VA/VE, Mini VA/VE, DtV to enable identify cost out opportunities and further refine for implementation. Seek team input to promote rapid implementation of ideas
- Overseas team coordination in new product development projects with close collaboration with category managers and defines the timeline for optimal supplier involvement in the process
- Ensures strong pipeline on VAVE projects and collaborates closely with Business & Pune team
- Promotes Should Costs analysis, products tear-down, OnePart utilization across EMEA in conjunction with Corporate team & CoE in Pune and the Business
- Analyzes technical data, designs, preliminary specifications and manufacturing limitations when qualifying new suppliers
- Provides technical know-how while acting on the behalf of EMEA electrical procurement during strategic decisions such as make-or-buy, substitution, standardization, etc
- Understands industry trends, competitor’s activity as well as new technologies which could optimize product cost
- Promotes early involvement of the Procurement team in new product development initiatives
- Drives change throughout the region
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Supply Chain preferred
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Supply Chain (preferably Procurement), Operational Excellence, overall Business acumen
- Knowledge of Supply Chain/Procurement processes and procedures required
- Analytical, calculatory and process-oriented thinking required,
- Experience in cost out required
- Experience in engineering is an advantage
- Corporate level fluency in English is essential
- Experience within a Multi-Location Manufacturing / Assembly plant environment preferred
- Project management skills (ProLaunch preferred)
- Outstanding communication, customer service and interpersonal skills necessary to converse with diverse group of stakeholders including senior management, Operations and Supply Chain Management personnel
- Demonstrated strong ability to work with teams of diverse cultural backgrounds
- Possesses sound knowledge and experience in successfully deploying corrective action planning
- Desktop Analytics (MS Excel and PowerPoint skills are a necessity)
- Demonstrated strong ability to achieve results
- Must be able to take a leading role in driving change in the organization
- Self-motivation in analytical and problem-solving skills, which include knowledge of Supply Chain and Operations.
- Track record of leading and/or participating in successful, complex change management efforts, preferably cross-functional, cross-businesses and/or -regions.
- The incumbent should also have sufficient “management presence” to be effective at communicating new concepts to and changing the behaviour of senior operating management
