J.P. Morgan (Suisse) S.A. - Zurich branch is looking for a Securities Services Operations Outsourcing Oversight Associate (m/f/d) with a strong Custody background and first experience in Governance or Control functions in a multinational environment based in Zurich. Good knowledge of the Suisse legal and regulatory requirements in addition to strong analytic and communication skills are key for this role. Fluent English and preferable German language skills are needed.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

The main activities of the position consist of ensuring high quality and timely processing of Custody and Trading Ops oversight related activities.
  • Ensure all tasks are completed to the required standard within agreed timescales within the Service Level Agreement requirements.
  • Act as first level of interrogation and identification of issues which require escalation to management. Escalate immediately incidents and follow up preventative actions with stakeholders.
  • Act as point of contact between J.P. Morgan (Suisse) S.A. and JPMorgan service providers and operations teams offshore.
  • Ensure service delivery of our affiliates are as per agreed SLA norms. •
  • Ensure effective monitoring and reporting of outstanding items.
  • Be comfortable to engage with stakeholders of various seniority level and challenge when required.
  • Pro-actively contribute to the enhancement of BAU oversight processes.
  • Act as the active support for global projects with a focus on operation readiness and efficiency improvements.
  • Perform ad hoc related project tasks when required.
  • Mitigate financial/reputational risk by ensuring appropriate controls and procedures are adhered to in compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Ensure robust design and continuous update of the operational governance framework to meet the changing product as well as to meet regulatory demands and changes, particularly within local branch jurisdictions.
  • Operational oversight of Securities Services performed for J.P. Morgan (Suisse) S.A. includes review of escalation items and other business escalated items/metrics/KPIs/KRIs, management of SLA with different service providers, as well as ensuring adequate contingency planning and testing are in place and appropriate for the entity.
  • Perform due diligence and on-going assessment of outsourced functions.

Education requirements:
  • Ideally educated to a bachelor’s degree level or equivalent in a related subject.

Work experience requirements:
  • Experience of working within a large organisation, preferably within the financial services industry (preferably 4 years as a minimum).
  • General understanding of the Securities Services business with a focus on Custody
  • Good knowledge of the components of various financial products.
  • First experience of working within in a control function or in close partnership with control functions
  • Experience of working across multiple business areas and/or functions to deliver results
  • Direct working experience within an operations and / or governance & oversight roles is a plus.

Knowledge/ technical skills:

Knowledge, skills, mastery of tools and necessary abilities for carrying out activities
  • Strong analytical and numeracy skills to review oversight results, assess impact, identify trends to help maintain an efficient and effective oversight model.
  • Good knowledge of Suisse regulatory requirements and keeping up to date on developments
  • Be computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Office products, especially Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Attention to details and proven ability to work accurately and under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills to the able to make presentations using different platforms and technical tools to senior stakeholders.
  • Be able to work in multi-cultural environment with virtual teams across countries
