YOUR ‘DAY TO DAY’

As Security Infrastructure Engineer you will be part of the Security and Market Safety department for Philip Morris International. The position is based in Lausanne.

Specific responsibilities include
  • Participate in the country risk assessment and propose recommendations to guarantee a safe and secure work environment by providing analysis and subsequent recommendations in terms of technical security
  • Manage, maintain, improve and establish the roadmap for current and future security systems for all PMI sites in Switzerland taking into account the risk assessment and identified risks.
  • Anticipate security trends and risks in order to provide actionable, especially (but not only) using (behavioral) data
  • Provide support for all security-related requests emerging from the business in order to provide technical security solutions where applicable.
  • Manage and lead all technical security systems projects, from the redaction of the scope on works onwards, bringing expertise in both security systems and project management
  • Review and provide recommendations following all requests for new security equipment and systems requests for buildings by establishing repair and replacement plans, creating specifications for bid documents, obtaining cost estimates, evaluating work for compliance with specifications, evaluating contract vendor performance, and meeting with various consultants, and other parties to review projects from development to execution
  • Develop synergies with key stakeholders such as the security team at the regional and country levels, the security forces provider as well as PMI’s IT services demonstrating an understanding of their requirements
  • Take into account potential budget constraints and competing priorities during activities all the while proposing pragmatic, reliable and timely solutions
  • Contribute to the achievement of the company’s financial and saving objectives by recommending appropriate technical solutions in line with a strict budget control and security requirements
  • Manage and develop X-Ray systems to ensure a proactive protecting key PMI sites from bomb threats. Monitor, audit and train all stakeholders involved in the processes implicating X-Ray systems
Who we’re looking for
  • University degree in Engineering or other relevant equivalence is preferred with at least 5 years of experience
  • Well-versed in security system and / or demonstrable strong interest
  • Proven experience with project management
  • Knowledge of Content Delivery Networks
  • A demonstrated proficiency in network-based systems, IT policies, and overall IT know-how, ideally from within the company
  • Excellent IT skills, knowledge of content delivery networks and experience with HTTP and HTTPS, as well as their underlying implementations
  • Experience with CCTV, access control security monitoring systems, security system design and integration and, ideally fire detection, bomb threats and X-ray machines
  • Inquisitive mindset and curiosity, ability to anticipate needs
  • Inclusive and engaging with the multi-functional team
  • Fluent English and French
