Syngenta Seeds is headquartered in the United States.Job DescriptionThis role can be based in Basel, Switzerland; Durham, US; São Paulo, BrazilRole purposePipeline Delivery (PD) Functional Portfolio Lead will conduct portfolio and scenario analyses required to enable data-driven decisions, ensuring the right projects are selected and prioritized with the level of resourcing required to deliver the pipeline .Accountabilities
  • Drive Functional PD portfolio collaborating with the teams to ensure we have the right Portfolio Flow and processes in place from demand, prioritization and tracking project status to support decision-making
  • Lead the Monthly Business Review (MBR) process ensuring the right visualizations and data is available, according to functional needs and in alignment with Global data standards
  • Lead the preparation and tracking of the functional PD financial processes (budget, approval, review) in alignment with Global Financial processes and guidelines
  • Proactively connect with other Functional and Global Portfolio experts and leaders to get to know their priorities and support PD to promote synergies and flag potential duplications across Functions and Regions
  • Support the relevant Value Stream Owners from the different Global Portfolio Boards on the cycle definition and adjustment of budget guardrails in line with value prioritization
  • Be the representative of some Value Streams on the Global Portfolio Board, supporting on reporting preparation, budget alignment and prioritization
  • Lead the development of mid- (next 3-5 years) and long-term (5-10 years) PD portfolio strategy with a detailed product portfolio execution plan.
  • Develop and maintain strong networks of cross-functional partners and experts for Portfolio matters
  • Together with other Global and Regional portfolio managers and experts, continuously develop Portfolio management processes and tools including interfaces to other key portfolio management and optimization solutions
Qualifications
  • BSc or MSc Degree in Engineering, Business or Science or in a related field
  • Several years of relevant work experience in portfolio and/or program management
  • Understanding partnership with financial teams and experience working with financial processes
  • Overseeing projects and planning capacity/resources/budget
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, networking and influencing experience
  • Strategic thinking and the tactical implementation of strategic initiatives and policies
  • Flexible to work outside of normal business hours due to different time zones
  • Willingness to travel internationally, 20%
  • Very strong communication skills in English
