  • Job Description

    As a senior staff design engineer, you will be part of the Mixed-Signal group in the Mixed-Signal and Linear business unit. You will be responsible for successful completion and timely execution of all activities related to architecture, design and verification focused on Delta-Sigma A/D Converters, Digital to Analog Converters and Digital Potentiometers.

You will be involved at different levels including product definition, project management of full chip products, development of peripherals and building blocks, simulation test benches, design for testability, layout, verification, and debug.

    More details on the expectations and responsibilities in this position:
    • Use design expertise to help define future products for the Division and work with other cross functional product definition resources.
    • Execution of design and validation tasks to create production-worthy ADC/DAC products
    • Training of talent to ensure timely development of competitive ADC/DAC products
    • Perform resource planning and utilization for optimal development of multiple products.
    • Define and plan testing equipment necessary for validation of current and future products.
    Job Requirements
    • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering and 15+ years of industry experience developing mixed signal products including DACs, ADCs or low-voltage precision operational amplifiers
    • Proven track record of moving mixed signal products successfully going into production
    • Knowledge of main converter architectures and building blocks and ability to translate them into successful products
    • Familiar with all aspects of analog design & layout using advanced IC processes and statistical design tools
    • Be able to assist in product definition efforts and be able to perform architectural tradeoffs to meet business needs
    • Knowledge of verification and validation requirements to help bring products to production with high quality in a timely manner
    • Knowledge of validation and testing tools required to characterize and measure ADC/DAC/opamps performance
    • Excellent leadership, communication and negotiation skills needed to work with cross functional teams
    • Excellent debug and risk management skills
    • Excellent organization, time-management and team leadership skills
    Competencies
    • Advanced knowledge of low-noise, low-voltage CMOS design techniques for all basic building blocks including opamps, comparators, voltage references, oscillators, current sources
    • Knowledge of MATLAB, Python, or other high-level analysis tools to analyse complex performance specifications
    • Familiar with Cadence Analog Design Environment
    • Familiar with project scheduling and tracking using a project management tool
