Your field of responsibility


A senior role based in Zurich, Switzerland that will help define and implement the target architecture for Group Operations, with particular focus on Asset Servicing and Securities processing initially. The Asset Servicing renewal program is a major critical initiative for Group Operations. You will support and guide the implementation of the architecture, working with delivery teams across GOS while specifically focusing on adoption of strategic technical architecture, of Streaming technologies and opportunities to craft how this happens. You work closely with delivery teams to optimize their book or work identifying and ensuring realization of re-use opportunities. Furthermore you will be conducting architecture reviews and make recommendations across a broad range of problem areas and opportunities. Your role involves working across various different business divisions, platforms and time zones, working in teamwork and close coordination with architects and senior partners from the other divisions and functions. Your future colleagues


You will work as part of a highly collaborative Global Architecture team with 4 colleagues in Switzerland, and approximately 15 others in the US, UK and India. In addition, you will engage with a far wider group of colleagues across Group Operations and GOS. Many of your colleagues on the Asset Servicing renewal program will be based in Switzerland although the program is fully global.


This position offers remote working opportunities for an agreed amount of days per week.

Your skills and experience


The following skills allow you to fulfill this role sufficiently:

  • Computing or Engineering Degree crucial.
  • Minimum 10 years of professional experience in engineering, architecture or IT consulting roles.
  • Experience of Operations Technology, and specifically Asset Servicing an advantage but not essential.
  • Experienced architect with a solution focus, and shown hands on development experience.
  • A strong history of technology leadership, with experience of software architecture and enterprise application design.
  • Experience of designing/implementing solutions utilising recognised design and architecture patterns, including event driven architectures.
  • Knowledge of Cloud based architectures and application development will be an added advantage.
  • Solid understanding of current and future integration technologies
  • Good interpersonal skills with experience of working with people spread across locations and time zones.
  • Confident, assertive and effective communicator with strong influencing skills. Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to gain consensus when faced with differing views.
  • Keen attention to detail with excellent work ethic
  • Motivated and hardworking teammate
  • Fluent in English, German would be an advantage
  • Dedication to fostering an inclusive culture and value diverse perspectives
