And that’s the kind of work we want to be part of.At our location in Visp, in the canton of Valais, we are looking for a Biotechnologist, Material handling with a background in Life Sciences in order to support our growth in several business units.This shopfloor role is part of the team for Material, Maintenance and Sample Management. In this team the role will focus on material handling. The role will support the readiness and support the continuous improvement of material and sample management, maintenance and safety topics relevant for the manufacturing team.Key Responsibilities
  • First contact as material handler on the shopfloor for material management
  • Coordinates and supports the engineering and workshop in the execution of all technical preparation work on the plant as well as investments
  • Shares responsibility for maintaining operational procedures in the logistics area
  • Shares responsibility for coordinating sampling at the plant and sample submission to the laboratory
  • Together with the Cleaning Supervisor, is responsible for organizing cleaning and cleaning samples
  • Assists the Safety Manager with risk analyses and preparation of safety related documents
  • Assists with onboarding of new employees and training activities
Key Requirements
  • Completed biopharmaceutical education
  • Professional experience in pharmaceutical production as an operator/production technician etc
  • Safety-conscious work
  • Fluent English
  • German language skills advantageous
  • Willingness to work in shifts (e.g. 2-shift pattern)
