Your field of responsibility


We offer an exciting and broad position at our Swiss Investment Grade Capital Markets Desk within our Investment Bank division where, as a senior credit strategist, you will analyze CHF denominated credits and generate absolute, relative value and cross-currency trading ideas for new issues and secondary market opportunities (with a focus on high beta / non-investment grade issuers). Generally, you will be responsible for promoting primary and secondary activity in higher yielding credit products

  • This is a unique chance to become a subject matter specialist in CHF Fixed Income markets, generating market comments and investment ideas; you will be responsible for forming and representing tactical views on issuers active in the CHF capital market, specific bonds as well as assessing and commenting company news
  • A multi-faceted role requiring a strong collaboration with trading, sales, syndicate and debt capital markets; you will also coordinate with the different research teams for those issuers officially covered in order to generate tactical views
  • An opportunity to closely work with DCM and our syndicate on Credit Suisse led new issues to provide an objective view to the sales and trading teams and to external clients; you will also help educating institutional clients on special bond features and more complex products (e.g. ABS, AT1 CoCos, high yield bonds)
  • By partnering and coordinating with various departments, you will have the chance to build your internal network and build a new role with a strong impact on revenues

Your skills and experience

  • A Bachelor and/or Master degree in Economics, Finance or Banking or an equivalent education
  • At least 5-7 years of work experience in both credit research and generating value trades across the fixed income credit product space (lower rated and cross over bonds, subordinated debt, EM, etc.)
  • The ability to publish fundamental credit views based on primary sources (annual reports, SEC filings etc) on issuers and relative value trade recommendations
  • Willingness to grow into a specialist in a complex asset class and a quick grasp of new developments (e.g. growth in ESG based investments)
  • An entrepreneurial mindset and business development skills
  • Your strong interpersonal skills, multi-tasking and time management skills enables you to quickly gain trust and build up effective relationships
  • Your ability to work accurately under pressure whilst managing priorities allows you to contribute to our teams’ success
  • Strong communication skills in written and verbal English and German, French and other languages are a plus
